A nice way to finish off a stop-start season with a convincing victory. Jerry Cass opened the scoring when he put away a rebound after his initial shot came back to him off the post. Graham Wood then followed this up with a goal from a short corner. So we were two up at half time.
The captain then warned the team about our notorious slow start to second halfs which obviously had the desired effect as having received the ball from the restart we proceeded to go up the pitch and David Gill finished off an excellent move for our third goal. He then scored our fourth following some good passing in the opposition D. David Woods got on the scoresheet for the fifth after finding himself with the ball in the oppostion D with no defenders near him, realising that the only thing to do next was to put the ball in the net which he surprisingly did! Mark Hollingsworth (guesting for us) finished off the scoring with a first time shot having been set up with an inch perfect(?) pass from the David Woods. There was still time for Crawford McKee to justify his match fee with a slow motion diving save (the jury is still out as to whether he actually just fell over).
Regards,
David
