This year�s tasting got off to a flying start with a superb vatted malt in the Quaich. Club members and their guests were then entertained with the piping of the haggis around the room by Bill the piper and Ken addressing the haggis in his usual brilliant style.

We have just got to the mid season break and its fair to say that we have some work to do both on and off the pitch. Most of the club sides are holding their own in their leagues although more are in the bottom half and keeping an eye on possible relegation battles than in the top half of their league.

Youth News - The Under 18 Girls join the Under 16s at the National Indoor Finals!

Five wins in all five matches at the East Indoor Championship last week-end, secured a place at the National Indoor finals for the Under18 girls squad. They join the Under 16s at the play offs to be held in Birmingham on January 23rd-24th.

Following on from their victory in the Essex Indoor Tournament, Chelmsford Hockey Club U16 Girls were selected to represent Essex in the East Region Indoor Championship. The competition comprised a mini league in which each team played each other once during the day.... and what a day it turned out to be.
